Hermeuptychia intricata : ウィキペディア英語版 | Hermeuptychia intricata
''Hermeuptychia intricata'' is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It has been recorded from the coastal plains of the eastern United States and is currently documented from Texas, Louisiana, Florida and South Carolina. The length of the forewings is 16.5 mm. ==Etymology== The species name refers to the difficulty in recognizing this very distinct species and its intricate ventral wing patterns.〔(A new Hermeuptychia (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae, Satyrinae) is sympatric and synchronic with H. sosybius in southeast US coastal plains, while another new Hermeuptychia species – not hermes – inhabits south Texas and northeast Mexico )〕
